Ashburn Real Estate Information

Ashburn is booming.  Metro Rail service to Washington DC is scheduled to be complete with service from Ashburn in 2019.  This has added to Ashburn’s allure as a great place to live in the Northern Virginia suburban market.  Great schools and great neighborhoods filled with family friendly amenities are a huge draw for home buyers.  Ashburn also has a large technology employment market which also draws many people to this wonderful area.  Surrounded by historic sites and towns, Ashburn’s notability is less exciting.  There were no major battles or intrigue in Ashburn.  Ashburn was originally a very large plantation called Farmwell.  A section of Farmwell was sold in 1802 to John Janney who named the new plantation Ashburn Farm.  The story is that he named the Farm Ashburn Farm after family friends named Ashburn.  The name stuck and today Ashburn extends well beyond the initial plantation’s boundaries.

Ashburn is growing as a major technology corridor and research corridor.  The Dulles Technology Corridor is home to many corporations offering high paying jobs to the region.  In addition, Ashburn is home to several medical research facilities and data centers.  This high tech and highly skilled labor needs great homes and easy commutes!  Ashburn has abundant options.

Some of my favorite communities are located in Ashburn, here are some of my top picks; Ashburn Farm, Ashburn Village, Belmont, Belmont Country Club, Brambleton, Farmwell Hunt, Goose Creek Preserve, The Grant at Willowsford, Loudoun Valley, One Loudoun, Potomac Green, Belle Terra, and The Village at Waxpool.  There are new construction options in Ashburn too, here are a few: Belmont Run, Brambleton, Brambleton West Park, Evermont Trace At Brambleton, Loudoun Place, Loudoun Valley Old Towne, Moorefield Green, River Crest, and Westmoore.

Customer Reviews

"I was very satisfied with Team Capalbo's services. They sold our rental property in VA while I'm in Europe, without having to fly back. Carolyn's knowldge of the area helped price the house well (more than I expected) and was sold in less than a week. She provided very useful advises from start to finish. Her team had contractors ready to bid for some repairs and I was provided with a couple of bids for my approval. The electronic signing of the documents was easy and efficient. Her team was very responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend this team to anyone"
