There were several major battles fought in and around Manassas. The Battle of Manassas 1st Campaign also known as the Battle at Bull Run and the Second Campaign the Battle of Manassas were horrible and bloody battles. The Manassas Battlefield is a National Park with trails and tours offered daily. Manassas has also become a popular bedroom community and business center in the Washington DC Metropolitan area.
Housing options are vast and so is Manassas. Spanning over 4 zip codes, the area is both diverse and broad reaching. Large rural tracts are still available in some areas of Manassas.
